The Inbox Cards feature various text message prompts, echoing the kind of texts one might receive in everyday life. The Reply Cards, on the other hand, contain potential responses to these texts.
The original edition of the game contains:

How to Play New Phone Who Dis
The flow of the game is straightforward yet engaging. One player, designated as the judge, draws an Inbox Card and reads it aloud. Other players then choose from their hand of Reply Cards, selecting what they believe is the funniest or most appropriate response. The judge reads these replies aloud and decides which response wins the round. This cycle continues, with players rotating the role of the judge.
Classic Mode
To play Classic Mode follow these instructions:
- The Inbox and Reply Card Decks are separated.
- Each player draws 7 Reply Cards.
- The Judge (the oldest player goes first) draws an Inbox Card from the top of the deck and reads it aloud.
- Players choose one of their Reply Cards and pass it to the Judge facedown. Players should choose what they believe will make the funniest pair.
- The Judge shuffles all the cards so they are unaware of who submitted which reply then reads each one aloud
- The Judge selects their favorite Reply Card and the player who submitted it wins that round. The Judge returns that pair of cards to the winner and they have earned a point.
- Each player draws back up to 7 Reply Cards and the new Judge is the player on the left of the previous Judge.
DIY Mode
To play DIY Mode follow these instructions:
- The Inbox Cards and Reply Cards are separated.
- Each player receives 4 Inbox Cards and 4 Reply Cards.
- Each player then pairs 1 of each card to create their funniest sequence.
- The pair of cards are passed to the Judge who picks their favorite for each round.
- The winning player receives a point.
- Every player then draws back up to 4 Inbox and 4 Reply Cards before the next round.
The Judge is selected in the same way as Classic mode.
End of the Game
You can decide on the game’s length. Typically, the first player to collect five Inbox cards wins, but you can adjust this based on your group’s preference or time constraints.
